COURSE DESCRIPTION

Do you know the relationship between sleep apnea, bruxism, and craniofacial pain?

It is becoming increasingly clear that dentists involved in either sleep apnea, TMJ pain, or bruxism treatment should be knowledgeable in all three areas. Learn how to assess your patients, prioritize, and fabricate a treatment plan that provides the best results for these three conditions.

During the ABC: Airway, Bruxism, and Craniofacial Pain dental seminar, Dr. Mayoor Patel will be introducing the relationship between these three disorders. With clenching or grinding of one’s teeth being a symptom of pain, OR a way for the brain to protect itself from suffocation, we will demonstrate how to implement a screening process to help identify bruxism as a sign of TMJ/craniofacial pain and sleep disordered breathing, and manage their disorders.

Getting your patients out of pain and restoring their energy, health, and quality of life is immensely rewarding and needed by so many patients with sleep apnea, orofacial pain, and bruxism, and this dental course will help you give these patients the best quality care possible.

ABC FAQs

Dental practices that are treating at least one of the following:

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Bruxism
  • Craniofacial Pain /TMJ Disorders

  • The ABC: Airway, Bruxism, & Craniofacial Pain is suited for dental practices both:

  • New to sleep apnea or craniofacial pain treatment
  • Established in sleep apnea or craniofacial pain treatment

  • This dental course will provide a more complete understanding of the relationship and correlation between these 3 disorders, allowing you to better identify the underlying cause and provide the best quality care for your patients.

The ABC dental course is recommended for dental practices that have taken an introduction course in dental sleep medicine or craniofacial pain / TMJ treatment.

Even if your practice has not yet begun implementing dental sleep medicine or craniofacial pain / TMJ treatment, it can serve as a great primer course, giving you a foundation on how to identify sleep apnea and pain patients in your practice.

It is an essential course for practices in any stage of their dental sleep medicine and craniofacial pain practice, as the in-depth content is typically not found in other courses, and will greatly benefit the practice in gaining new sleep / pain patients as well as building referral relationships with physicians and the medical community.
